The hostels at HIMT are separate for boys and girls and managed by competent hostel authorities. HIMT strives to provide boarders with an academic, activity-filled, and secure environment. Currently, the hostel accommodates around 50 outstation students. The Girls' hostel committee emphasizes holistic development, ensuring a balanced schedule of work and play.

Several sporting activities such as badminton, carom, basketball, volleyball, and more are organized regularly, promoting a healthy mind and body. The hostel features a highly modernized kitchen to provide wholesome meals, and is administered by responsible wardens.
