Industrial Visits
HIMT College of Pharmacy arranges regular industrial visits to pharmaceutical industries to help students connect their theoretical knowledge with practical applications in the real world of drugs.
Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC)
HIMT College of Pharmacy students visited the Indian Pharmacopoeial Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad, U.P. — an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, which sets standards and prepares monographs for drugs in India.
Postgraduate students learned about quality assurance and control, working with D & C Act and Indian Pharmacopoeias. In Oct 2019, students also joined the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), gaining exposure to drug safety regulations and policies for India and international markets.
Hamdard Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.
In 2018, final year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students visited Hamdard Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. at Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana. Students were introduced to Production, Quality Control, and R & D departments, along with an overview of the company’s profile.
The visit bridged the gap between theory and practice, leaving students motivated and inspired with elevated morale.
Amway Pvt. Ltd.
In 2019, B.Pharm final year and M.Pharm students visited Amway Pvt. Ltd.. Students were introduced to different verticals of the industry including Production, Quality Control, and R & D processes.
The visit provided valuable exposure to the company’s profile and allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge in a real industrial environment.
